CHAPÉU PRETO
The theme Chapéu Preto is part of the popular music songbook of the Beira Baixa region. In this sense, a suite of themes from this same region of the country was created, of which this theme is a part. This arrangement was written in the spring of 2010 by order of the Banda da Covilhã. The first edition of this work was recorded by the Banda da Armada for the Lusitanos label, and is in its entirety made up of 5 more movements. The suite can be performed in its entirety or each movement individually.
